DESCRIPTION
The rear cooler expansion valve (rear magnetic valve) is controlled by the rear junction block ECU and the air conditioning amplifier via the CAN communication line.
Tech Tips
This circuit uses the CAN communication line. Before performing the inspection, check that the CAN communication system is functioning normally.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (REAR A/C MAGNETIC VALVE)
Select the Active Test, using the intelligent tester to generate a control command, and then check that the rear magnetic valve operates.

Remove the RR-IG1-2 fuse from the luggage room junction block.
Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR AIR CONDITIONING HARNESS - REAR JUNCTION BLOCK ECU)
Disconnect the S90 rear air conditioning harness connector.
Disconnect the S62 rear junction block ECU connector.
Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tech Tips
Since the rear magnetic valve cannot be inspected while it is removed from the vehicle, replace the rear magnetic valve with a normal one and check that the condition returns to normal.
