DESCRIPTION

for LHD:

When the power switch is turned ON (IG), the IG operation power supply is output from the main body ECU. Power is then supplied from the luggage room junction block's RR-IG1 relay, which turns the RR-IG1 relay ON. Power is then supplied to the electric parking brake ECU.

for RHD:

When the power switch is turned ON (IG), the IG operation power supply is output from the main body ECU and the passenger side junction block's P-IG1 relay turns ON. Power is then supplied from the P-IG1 relay to the luggage room junction block's RR-IG1 relay, which turns the RR-IG1 relay ON. Power is then supplied to the electric parking brake ECU.

Both of following conditions are met:


  1. Power switch is ON (IG)

  2. When hybrid vehicle control ECU, ECM or G sensor is communicating through CAN communication, operation power supply is not input from power switch for approx. 3 seconds


  • RR-IG1-1 fuse

  • D-IG1-3 fuse (for LHD)

  • P-IG1-3 fuse (for RHD)

  • Luggage room junction block

  • Passenger side junction block (for RHD)

  • Main body ECU

  • Harness or connector

  • Electric parking brake ECU

  • Power switch

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • If the electric parking brake ECU or parking brake with bracket actuator assembly is replaced, perform the "Reset Memory" and "ACQUIRE TENSION SENSOR ZERO POINT" procedures Click here.

  • Even after the power switch is turned OFF, the electric parking brake ECU may store a DTC as a result of removing a connector or fuse, as the ECU is still operating. Therefore, during inspection or replacement, turn the power switch OFF and wait for 20 seconds before removing the following: 1) connectors of the electric parking brake ECU, and 2) fuses of the electric parking brake system circuit.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK IG VOLTAGE (DATA LIST)


    1. Turn the power switch OFF.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch ON (IG) and the tester ON.

    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Electric Parking Brake / Data List.

    5. Check the values by referring to the table below.

  3. INSPECT FUSE


    1. Remove the RR-IG1-1fuse from the luggage room junction block.

    2. for LHD:


      1. Remove the D-IG1-3 fuse from the main body ECU.

    3. for RHD:


      1. Remove the P-IG1-3 fuse from the passenger side junction block.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    2. Disconnect the LA luggage room junction block connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      S48-4 (IG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the S48 ECU connector.
