ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR REMOVAL


  1. RELEASE PARKING BRAKE


    1. With the power switch ON (IG), operate the electric parking brake switch to release the parking brake. Then turn the power switch OFF.

      Tech Tips

      If the parking brake cannot be released, use the luggage compartment's parking brake release tool to manually release the parking brake (refer to the Owner's Manual).

  2. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  3. REMOVE SEAT VIBRATOR MODULE ASSEMBLY (for Ottoman)

  4. DISCONNECT ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CONNECTOR

      Detach the trunk interior's electric parking brake actuator grommet and disconnect the connector.

  5. REMOVE REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (w/ Active Stabilizer System)

  6. REMOVE REAR WHEEL HOUSE LINER LH

    1. Remove the 4 screws, 11 nuts and 2 clips from the liner.

  7. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS CLAMP

      Disconnect the 2 clamps shown in the illustration.

  8. REMOVE FLOOR NO. 1 UNDER COVER

      Detach the 2 hole plugs.

    2. Remove the 5 nuts, 5 clips and under cover.

  9. DISCONNECT PROPELLER SHAFT WITH CENTER BEARING ASSEMBLY

  10. REMOVE ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE ACTUATOR CAP

      Remove the actuator cap and 2 nuts.

  11. REMOVE REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  12. DISCONNECT PARKING BRAKE CABLE

    Click here

  13. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE WITH BRACKET ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the bolt and 5 nuts.

    2. Detach the clamp from the member.

    3. A01H06B

      Remove the 3 harness clamps from the member.

    4. A01GX1G

      Remove the 3 nuts and actuator.
