REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

Note

While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

  5. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  8. DRAIN BRAKE FLUID

    Note

    Wash brake fluid off immediately if it is spilled on any painted surface.

  9. REMOVE REAR BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE

      Remove the brake tube with a union nut wrench while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.

      Note


      • Do not bend or damage the brake tube.

      • Do not allow any foreign matter such as dirt and dust to enter the brake tube from the connecting points.

    2. Remove the clip.

    3. Remove the union bolt, flexible hose and gasket.
