REAR SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • The procedures listed below are for the RH side.

  • Other than areas where instructions are provided, use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.

Note

While the battery is connected, even if the power switch is OFF, the brake control system activates when the brake pedal is depressed or the door courtesy switch turns on. Therefore during servicing of the brake system components, do not operate the brake pedal or open/close the doors while the battery is connected.


  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. A01GXQQ

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

  4. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

  5. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH

  9. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  10. REMOVE SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. for RH:


      1. A01H07E

        Disconnect the sensor connector from the vehicle side connector.

    2. for LH:


      1. A01GY4Z

        Disconnect the sensor connector from the vehicle side connector.

    3. A01H16I

      Disconnect the grommet of the speed sensor wire from the hole of the wheel house.

    4. A01H0YI

      Disconnect the rear height control sensor connector.

    5. Remove the 2 nuts and 2 sensor clamps.

    6. A01H0TS

      Disconnect the pad wear indicator connector.

    7. Remove the bolt and sensor clamp.

    8. Disconnect the rear speed sensor connector.

      Note


      • Be careful not to damage the speed sensor.

      • Prevent foreign matter from adhering to the speed sensor.

  11. REMOVE REAR SPEED SENSOR RH

      Remove the bolt and sensor.

      Note


      • The speed sensor is easily damaged. When pulling out the speed sensor from the axle hub, do not use excessive force to rotate and remove it.

      • Prevent foreign matter from attaching to the sensor tip.

      • Do not drop the sensor. If the sensor has been dropped replace the sensor with a new one.
