ENTRY LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH (for Front) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Spare Tire)

  3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Spare Tire)

  4. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. A01GXQQ

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the deck trim side board LH.

  5. REMOVE BATTERY SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      *1 Fastening Tape

      Detach the clip, fastening tape and remove the battery service hole cover LH.

  6. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug LH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  8. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWMP

      Using a moulding remover D, detach the 2 clips.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GYVZ

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Detach the 13 clips and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly LH.

    3. Disconnect the connector.

    4. A01GWSZ

      Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.

  10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Remove the front door service hole cover LH.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the remaining tape on the door.

  11. REMOVE FRONT INNER DOOR GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. A01H1P3

      Remove the front door glass inner weatherstrip LH by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the front door ECU LH.

    2. Temporarily install the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

    3. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    4. Remove the hole plug.

      Move the front window regulator sub-assembly LH so that the front door glass sub-assembly LH bolts can be seen.

    6. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

    7. Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note

      Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

      Remove the front door glass sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Remove the glass upward.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the glass.

    9. Remove the power window regulator master switch assembly with front door armrest base panel.

    10. Disconnect the front door ECU LH.

  13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH


    1. A01GYK4

      Remove the hole plug.

    2. Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw and remove the front door outside handle cover LH with the door lock key cylinder installed.

    3. Remove the cylinder from the front door outside handle cover LH.

  14. REMOVE FRONT OUTSIDE DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Using a T30 "TORX" wrench, loosen the screw.

      Disconnect the connector.

    3. A01GZVM

      Remove the front door outside handle assembly LH by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

      Note

      If the release plate is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the release plate will interfere with the handle and become damaged.
