ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM Slip Indicator Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication. The slip indicator light blinks during VSC and/or TR(A)C operation to inform the driver of system operation and when a slip occurs. When the system fails, the slip indicator comes on to warn the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When replacing the skid control ECU, perform the following operations:


  • Initialization of linear solenoid valve and calibration Click here

  • Yaw rate and acceleration sensor zero point calibration Click here

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC FOR ALL SYSTEM


    1. Clear the DTC Click here.

    2. Check for the DTC Click here.

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SLIP INDICATOR LIGHT)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch ON (IG).

    3. Select the Active Test mode on the intelligent tester.

      Combination meter:
      Tester Display Test Part Control Range Diagnostic Note
      Indicat. Lamp Slip Slip indicator light ON / OFF Observe combination meter

    4. Check that the slip indicator light turns on or off when using the intelligent tester.

      OK
      The slip indicator light turns on or off in accordance with the intelligent tester.
