ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:C1259/58, C1310/14, C1310/51, C1438/59

DTC Code DTC Name
C1259/58 HV System Regenerative Malfunction
C1310/14 Malfunction in HV System
C1310/51 Malfunction in HV system
C1438/59 Lost Communication with HV ECU

DESCRIPTION

The skid control ECU communicates with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and controls braking force according to the motor's regenerative force.

The skid control ECU sends enhanced VSC signals to the hybrid vehicle control ECU and receives operating signals from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

The skid control ECU uses CAN communication for communication with the hybrid vehicle control ECU. If a communication malfunction has occurred, the skid control ECU prohibits enhanced VSC operation and a part of the electronically controlled brake system control by the fail-safe function.

DTC C1259/58 is stored if the power switch is turned ON (READY) with the HV battery service plug disconnected.

DTC No. Information Code DTC Detection Condition Trouble Area
C1259/58 - The regeneration malfunction signal is input for at least 0.036 seconds when IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5 V or more for at least 2 seconds and communication with hybrid vehicle control ECU is valid. Hybrid control system (Regeneration malfunction)
C1310/14 - The hybrid vehicle control malfunction signal is received from hybrid vehicle control ECU. Hybrid control system (Brake hold control malfunction)
C1310/51 - The traction control prohibition signal is received for at least 0.072 seconds when IG2 terminal voltage is 10.5 V or more for at least 1.5 seconds and communication with hybrid vehicle control ECU is valid. Hybrid control system (VSC control malfunction)
C1438/59 154

Both of the following conditions are met:

  • IG2 terminal voltage is 9.5 V or higher

  • The signal that indicates the BRK data cannot be received from the hybrid vehicle control ECU for 2 seconds or more.e

Hybrid control system
157

Both of the following conditions are met:

  • IG2 terminal voltage is 9.5 V or higher

  • The following occurs 10 times in succession: the signal that indicates the BRK data cannot be received from the hybrid vehicle control ECU once or more within 5 seconds.

Tech Tips

These DTCs are output from the skid control ECU when the hybrid vehicle control ECU sends a malfunction signal to the skid control ECU.
