REAR LOWER ARM INSTALLATION

  • Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.

  • The procedures listed below are for the LH side.

  1. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Temporarily install the No. 2 suspension arm with the No. 2 suspension toe adjust plate, rear suspension attachment and nut to the suspension member.

    2. A01GX4B

      Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install the washer, nut and bolt to the axle carrier.

  2. TEMPORARILY INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Temporarily install the No. 1 suspension arm with the bolt and nut to the suspension member.

    2. A01GYJL

      Install the stud of the suspension arm, and temporarily install a new nut to the axle carrier.

  3. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 1 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01GWT0E01

      Tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      72 N*m  { 734 kgf*cm, 53 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01GYJL

      Tighten the bolt and nut.

      Torque:
      118 N*m  { 1203 kgf*cm, 87 ft.*lbf }

  4. TEMPORARILY CONNECT PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Temporarily connect the pneumatic cylinder lower side with a new nut and washer to the axle carrier.

  5. INSTALL REAR STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Install the stabilizer link with the nut and bolt.

      Torque:
      89 N*m  { 908 kgf*cm, 69 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01H0EB

      Install the stabilizer link with the nut.

      Torque:
      26 N*m  { 265 kgf*cm, 19 ft.*lbf }

  6. STABILIZE SUSPENSION

    A01GYYO

    1. Install the rear tires.

      Torque:
      140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 103 ft.*lbf }

    2. Lower the vehicle and start the engine. Then fill the pneumatic cylinder assembly with rear shock absorber with air.

    3. Lower the vehicle and bounce it up and down several times to stabilize the rear suspension.

    4. Remove the rear tires.

    5. Jack up the axle carrier with a wooden block between the jack and axle carrier. Apply a load to the suspension so that the rear drive shaft assembly is placed in a horizontal position.

  7. TIGHTEN REAR NO. 2 SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LH

      Tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      150 N*m  { 1530 kgf*cm, 111 ft.*lbf }
    2. A01GX4B

      Tighten the nut.

      Torque:
      225 N*m  { 2294 kgf*cm, 166 ft.*lbf }

  8. TIGHTEN PNEUMATIC CYLINDER WITH REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the nut on the axle carrier.

      Torque:
      80 N*m  { 816 kgf*cm, 59 ft.*lbf }

  9. INSTALL SKID CONTROL SENSOR WIRE


    1. A01H0TS

      Connect the rear speed sensor connector.

    2. Connect the pad wear indicator connector.

    3. Install the sensor clamp with the bolt.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }

      Note

      Do not twist the sensor wire when installing the clamps.

      Install the 2 sensor clamps with the 2 nuts.

    5. Connect the rear height control sensor connector.

    6. A01GZAT

      Insert the connector and grommet to the inside of the vehicle through the hole in the wheel house.

    7. for RH:


      1. A01H07E

        Connect the skid control sensor wire connector to the vehicle side connector.

    8. for LH:


      1. A01GY4Z

        Connect the skid control sensor wire connector to the vehicle side connector.

  10. INSTALL LOAD SENSING VALVE SENSOR BRACKET


    1. Install the bracket to the toe control link with the bolt.

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 DIFFERENTIAL SUPPORT PROTECTOR


    1. Install the differential support protector with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

  12. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    140 N*m  { 1428 kgf*cm, 104 ft.*lbf }

  13. CHECK SUSPENSION CONTROL SYSTEM

  14. INSPECT AND ADJUST REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT
