C191A Malfunction in Signal from Steering Sensor to Rear Active Stabilizer Control ECU

DESCRIPTION

If the rear active stabilizer control ECU receives a steering sensor malfunction signal, DTC C191A is output. The steering sensor is diagnosed by the skid control ECU and steering control ECU. If electronically controlled brake system and Variable Gear Ratio Steering (VGRS) system related DTCs are output, perform a diagnosis for those DTCs. If no electronically controlled brake or VGRS system DTCs are output, there may be a malfunction in the rear active stabilizer control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC (ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE SYSTEM AND VGRS SYSTEM)


    1. Turn the power switch OFF.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the power switch ON (READY) and the tester ON.

    4. Check that no electronically controlled brake system DTCs are output Click here, and that no VGRS system DTCs are output Click here.
