HYBRID TRANSMISSION SYSTEM ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. CHECK SHIFT LOCK OPERATION


    1. Move the shift lever to the P position.

    2. Check that the shift lever cannot be moved to any positions other than P.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG), depress the brake pedal and check that the shift lever can be moved to other positions.

  2. CHECK SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON OPERATION


    1. When operating the shift lever with the shift lock release button pressed, check that the lever can be moved to any positions other than P. If the operation cannot be done as specified, check the shift lever assembly installation condition.

  3. OPERATION CHECK


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Active Test / Control the Shift Position.

    4. Select the following menu items: User Data / B1 Oil Pressure, B2 Oil Pressure, Line Pressure, Line Pressure Solenoid.

    5. Perform the "Control the Shift Position" active test.

    6. Read the user data.

    7. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    8. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Active Test / Active the Oil Pump (500 rpm), Active the Oil Pump (1000 rpm).

      Note


      • Active test of the oil pump motor can be performed continuously for 30 seconds.

      • Be sure to wait at least 1 minute before continuing after performing the active test of the oil pump motor in order to allow the motor to cool down.

      • Make sure that the auxiliary battery is not discharged.

      • If the auxiliary battery voltage is 12 V or less, be sure to use an external power source. If the active test is performed while the auxiliary battery is low, the oil pump motor, fuses, or wire harnesses will deteriorate or may be damaged.

    9. Select the following menu items: User Data / OPM Target Revolution, OPM Revolution.

      Note

      The "OPM Target Revolution" and "OPM Revolution" values should be almost the same.
