    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR

    1. A01GYIVE03

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. Disconnect connectors E58 and A76 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
E58-34 (TOPM) - A76-5 (E2) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E58-34 (TOPM) - A76-5 (E2) 20 °C (68° F) 121 to 129.7 kΩ
      E58-34 (TOPM) - A76-5 (E2) 40 °C (104° F) 50.49 to 55.01 kΩ
      E58-34 (TOPM) - A76-5 (E2) 80 °C (176° F) 11.26 to 12.99 kΩ
    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E58-34 (TOPM) - A76-5 (E2) Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      Note:

Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

CHECK OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY (OIL PUMP MOTOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR)

    1. A01H1RP

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. Disconnect the oil pump motor temperature sensor connector.

    3. A01GY1TE08

Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
E67-1 (OMT) - Body ground Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E67-1 (OMT) - E67-2 (OMTG) 20 °C (68° F) 121 to 129.7 kΩ
      E67-1 (OMT) - E67-2 (OMTG) 40 °C (104° F) 50.49 to 55.01 kΩ
      E67-1 (OMT) - E67-2 (OMTG) 80 °C (176° F) 11.26 to 12.99 kΩ
    5. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    6. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      E67-1 (OMT) - E67-2 (OMTG) Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
E67-2 (OMTG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      Note:

Turning the power switch on (IG) with the oil pump motor temperature sensor connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
