INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    4. Check if DTCs are output.

  2. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER CONNECTOR)

    Note

    Before disconnecting the connectors, confirm that they are properly connected by checking that the locking claws are engaged and that the connectors do not pull out.

      Check the connections of the oil pump motor controller connectors.

      OK
      The connectors are connected securely and there are no contact problems.

      Tech Tips

      For connector A, when connecting it, insert it with the locking lever in the raised position. Rotate the lever downward and make sure that the connector is pulled into its socket. When the locking lever is in its fully closed position, a click will be heard as its locking claws engage. After the click is heard, pull up on the connector to confirm that it is properly connected.

  3. CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR)

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER)


    1. A01GX7LE25

      Turn the power switch off.

    2. Disconnect connector A76 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.

    3. Disconnect connector A80 from the oil pump motor controller.

    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      A76-32 (OPM1) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      A76-33 (OPST) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

      Note

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU and oil pump motor controller connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    6. Turn the power switch off.

    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Check if there is an open circuit in the fusible link (OIL PMP) in the engine room No. 1 junction block.

  6. CHECK RELAY (OIL PMP)

      Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room No. 5 relay block.

    2. A01GXTKE01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK OIL WITH MOTOR PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. A01GZHDE04

      Disconnect the connectors from the oil pump motor controller.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Note

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the oil pump motor controller connectors disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    4. Turn the power switch off.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  8. CHECK OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER (VOLTAGE)

      Install the OIL PMP relay to the engine room No. 5 relay block.

    2. A01GYQIE07

      Disconnect connector A80 from the oil pump motor controller.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

    5. A01GZ0TE02

      Turn the power switch off.

    6. Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room No. 5 relay block.

    7. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    2. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    3. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

    4. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

  10. SIMULATION TEST


    1. Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Active Test / Activate the Oil Pump (500rpm), Activate the Oil Pump (1000rpm).

    2. Select the following menu items: All Data / OPM Revolution.

    3. Perform the "Activate the Oil Pump (500rpm)" and "Activate the Oil Pump (1000rpm)" Active Tests.

      Note

      Make sure that the auxiliary battery is not discharged.

      Tech Tips

      Do not use the "OPM Target Revolution" as a reference during the Active Test.

      For both the "Activate the Oil Pump (500rpm)" and "Activate the Oil Pump (1000rpm)" Active Tests, the value of "OPM Revolution" is almost the same as the corresponding Active Test speed.
