      (Light Control Rheostat)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      2 (B) - 5 (E) Headlight cleaner switch on Below 1 Ω
      Headlight cleaner switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    2. Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 8 (ILL+) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 6 (ILL-).

    3. Check that the headlight cleaner switch illumination comes on.

      OK
      The headlight cleaner switch illumination comes on.

      If the result is not as specified, replace the light control rheostat.
