DESCRIPTION

The front controller receives the HI position signal of the wiper switch to operate the wiper motor at HI speed. Even if the ECU malfunctions, its circuit structure enables it to operate the wiper in HI operation mode.

  1. Click here

    CHECK FRONT CONTROLLER (2S SIGNAL)


    1. A01GXRXE09

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A51-14 (2S) - Body ground Wiper switch not in HI position 11 to 14 V
      A51-14 (2S) - Body ground Wiper switch in HI position Below 1 V

    INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ECU)


    1. A01GXFJE05

      Disconnect or remove the switch (see pageClick here)

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (2S) - 8 (E) Wiper switch in HI position Below 1 Ω
      3 (2S) - 8 (E) Wiper switch not in HI position 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH - FRONT CONTROLLER AND BODY GROUND)


    1. A01GY4EE02

      Disconnect the L25 switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the A51 ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L25-3 (2S) - A51-14 (2S) Always Below 1 Ω
      L25-8 (E) - Body ground
      A51-14 (2S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
