INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CONFIRM LIGHT POSITION


    1. Check the malfunctioning personal light.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the X4 map light connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X4-6 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      X4-27 (DOME) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X4-16 (GND9) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - SPOT LIGHT)

    1. Disconnect the X4 and X6 map light connector.

    2. Disconnect the X22 spot light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X4-3 (RLSW) - X22-6 (RLSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-4 (RRSW) - X22-7 (RRSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-7 (RLMP) - X22-4 (RLMP) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-8 (RRMP) - X22-14 (RRMP) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-15 (GND6) - X22-5 (RGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-3 (RLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X4-4 (RRSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-7 (RLMP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-8 (RRMP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X4-15 (GND6) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT - CONSOLE BOX LIGHT)

    1. Disconnect the X4 and X6 map light connector.

    2. Disconnect the X22 spot light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X4-3 (RLSW) - X22-6 (RLSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-4 (RRSW) - X22-7 (RRSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-7 (RLMP) - X22-4 (RLMP) Always Below 1 Ω
      X6-8 (RRMP) - X22-14 (RRMP) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-15 (GND6) - X22-5 (RGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      X4-3 (RLSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X4-4 (RRSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X6-7 (RLMP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
