The ECM monitors the input signals of the Throttle Position (TP) sensor No. 1. As the ECM monitors the input signals of the TP sensor No. 1, if the input signals and control signals are deviated, a DTC is output.

Tech Tips

Read freeze frame data using the intelligent tester. Freeze frame data records the engine condition when malfunctions are detected. When troubleshooting, freeze frame data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air-fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear DTC Click here.

    2. Turn the power switch off.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.

    4. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    5. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    6. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    7. Turn the tester ON.

    8. Wait 16 seconds or more.

    9. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / DTC.

    10. Check DTC.

      OK
      P060E is not present.
