FRONT DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING REMOVAL

Tip:
  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

  • When removing the window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body and window frame moulding using a heat light.

    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Window Frame Moulding 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

Do not heat the vehicle body or window frame moulding excessively.

    PRECAUTION

    Note:

    After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

    DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH


    1. A01DSYT

      Detach the 2 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish LH.

    REMOVE NO. 2 DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL LH


    1. A01DTXC

      Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the inside handle bezel as shown in the illustration.

    REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER LH

      Using moulding remover A, detach the 8 claws and remove the assist grip cover.

  6. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01DSFI

      Remove the 3 screws.

    2. Remove the 12 clips.

    3. A01DNCTE01

      Pull out the front door trim board sub-assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

    4. Raise the front door trim board sub-assembly to detach the 4 claws and remove the front door trim board sub-assembly together with the front door inner glass weatherstrip LH.

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    6. w/ Seat Position Memory System:


      1. A01DUBS

        Disconnect the connectors.

    7. A01DTZ7

      Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable assembly and front door inside locking cable assembly.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. A01DOEY

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door trim board sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

      Remove the bolt.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps, move the wire harness out of the way and remove the service hole cover.

      Tip:

      Remove any remaining butyl tape from the door.

    REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 nuts.

    3. Detach the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

    2. Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

    3. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal and power window regulator master switch assembly.

      Note:
      • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work (Click here).

      • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).

    4. A01DQ56

      Remove the 2 bolts.

      Note:

      After the bolts are removed, do not allow the door glass to fall.

    5. A01DSCCE01

      Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

      Note:

      Do not damage the door glass.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN LH

      Remove the front door glass run.

  12. Click here

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING LH


    1. Put protective tape around the belt moulding.

    2. Detach the 6 claws and remove the front door belt moulding.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH


    1. Detach the 3 clips and remove the upper part of the front door weatherstrip so that the moulding can be removed.

    REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING LH

      Remove the door window frame moulding clip.

    2. A01DNZLE01

      Put protective tape around the front door rear window frame moulding.

    3. Using a moulding remover, detach the clip and remove the double-sided tape to remove the front door rear window frame moulding.
