DESCRIPTION

w/o Air Suspension System:

The DTC is stored when the headlight swivel ECU detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor power source or rear height control sensor.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the S3 rear height control sensor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

  5. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

    2. Connect 3 dry cell batteries (1.5 V) in series.

    3. Connect the positive (+) end of the batteries to terminal 1 (SHB) of the height control sensor and the negative (-) end of the batteries to terminal 3 (SHG). While slowly moving the sensor link up and down, measure the voltage between terminal 2 (SHRR) and terminal 3 (SHG).

      Standard Voltage

      3 (SHG) - 2 (SHRR) Max. high (45°) 4.4 to 4.6 V
      Normal (0°) 2.3 to 2.6 V
      Min. low (-45°) 0.4 to 0.6 V

      Note

      Do not apply a voltage of 5 V or higher.

  8. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY - SUSPENSION CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the A58 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A14 and R19 suspension control ECU connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
