WASHER MOTOR (for Front Side) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL


    1. Remove the 13 clips and upper radiator support seal.

  2. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

    2. Remove the 4 screws.

    3. Detach the 8 claws and remove the radiator grille.

  3. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

      Remove the 2 screws.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for the screws on the other side.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the 2 bolts labeled A and 2 bolts labeled B.

      Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.

    5. Remove the 4 clips.

    6. Detach the 16 claws and remove the front bumper cover.

      Note

      Do not hold the middle of the front bumper cover, as it may become reformed.

    7. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    8. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/o Fog Light:

      Disconnect the connector.

    9. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    10. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the No. 1 headlight cleaner hose.

  4. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL

  5. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MUDGUARD RH


    1. A01DPL9

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and front fender mudguard RH.

  6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01DOCF

      Remove the screw.

    2. Remove the 13 grommets and front fender splash shield sub-assembly RH.

      Tech Tips

      The grommets need to be replaced with new ones because they will break when they are removed.

  7. DRAIN WASHER FLUID


    1. A01DPR4

      Disconnect the washer hose from the hose of the windshield washer motor and pump assembly, and then drain the washer fluid.

      Tech Tips

      Use a container to collect the washer fluid.

  8. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01DNW7

      Detach the claw and remove the washer inlet sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY


    1. A01DUOT

      w/o Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01DOGE

      w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    3. A01DQKT

      Remove the 3 screws.

    4. A01DLZC

      Detach the guide and remove the windshield washer jar assembly.

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. A01DNCH

      Remove the windshield washer motor and pump assembly from the packing of the windshield washer jar assembly.
