This circuit detects the conditions (on or off) of the headlight cleaner switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT HEADLIGHT CLEANER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. A01DSCU

      Remove the headlight cleaner switch assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      5 - 8 Headlight cleaner switch on Below 1 Ω
      5 - 8 Headlight cleaner switch off 10 kΩ or higher

    REPLACE HEADLIGHT CLEANER SWITCH ASSEMBLY Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT CLEANER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY AND MAIN BODY ECU)


    1. Disconnect the G72 headlight cleaner switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the A38 headlight cleaner control relay connector.

    3. Remove the main body ECU Click here.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G72-8 - A38-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      G72-5 - A-15 (HRLY) Always Below 1 Ω
      G72-8 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      G72-5 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY)

    OK
