ROOF HEADLINING (for 3 Door) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart Click here.


  1. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM COVER RH (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Attach the 7 claws and 3 guides to install the deck side trim cover.

    2. Turn the 2 knobs to engage the lock.

  2. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM JACK COVER (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Attach the 7 claws and 3 guides to install the quarter trim jack cover.

  3. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM COVER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other quarter trim cover.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the quarter trim cover.

  4. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HANGER LH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other rear seat shoulder belt hanger.


    1. Attach the claw and guide to install the rear seat shoulder belt hanger.

  5. INSTALL REAR SEAT SHOULDER BELT HANGER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM CUP HOLDER LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the deck side trim cup holder.

  7. INSTALL DECK SIDE TRIM CUP HOLDER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear side rail spacer.

    2. Install the clip.

  9. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SIDE RAIL SPACER RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the front shoulder belt anchor plate.

  11. INSTALL FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. INSTALL ROOF HEADLINING ASSEMBLY


    1. Place the roof headlining into the vehicle through the back door.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the roof headlining when placing it in the cabin.

      1. Attach the 2 clips to install the roof headlining.

      w/ Sliding Roof:


      1. Attach the 2 clips, 2 guides and 8 fasteners to install the roof headlining.

    4. Connect the connector and attach the 4 clamps to the front pillar RH.

    5. Connect the connector and attach the 3 clamps to the rear pillar LH.

    6. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 3 clamps to the front pillar RH.

    7. Install the bolt.

    8. Connect the 2 connectors and attach the 3 clamps to the front pillar LH.

    9. w/ Digital Audio Broadcasting Antenna:

      Connect the connector and attach the wire harness clamp.

    10. w/ Sliding Roof

      Connect the drive gear connector.

    11. w/ Rain Sensor:

      Connect the rain sensor connector.

    12. w/ EC Mirror:

      Connect the inner mirror connector.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 ROOF SIDE RAIL GARNISH LH

      Attach the 2 claws.

      Attach the 2 claws as shown in the illustration to install the inner rear view mirror stay holder cover.

  18. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR COVER (w/ Rain Sensor)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rain sensor cover.

  19. INSTALL MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 4 clips to install the map light.

  20. INSTALL VISOR HOLDER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other visor holder.


    1. Attach the 2 claws.

    2. Push in the visor holder to install it.

  21. INSTALL VISOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Install the visor with the 2 screws.

    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the visor bracket cover.

  25. INSTALL REAR ASSIST GRIP ASSEMBLY LH

    1. Assemble the assist grip, 2 clips and 2 covers as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the assist grip.

  27. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Assemble the assist grip, 2 clips and 2 covers as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the assist grip.

  28. INSTALL REAR QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws and 2 guides and pass the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor through the rear quarter trim panel.

    2. Attach the 7 clips to install the rear quarter trim panel.

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  30. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the front quarter trim panel.

    2. Attach the 2 clips and 2 guides to install the front quarter trim panel.

    3. Install the bolt.

  32. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the 9 claws and 11 clips to install the deck trim side panel.

    2. Install the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

    3. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    4. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  33. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 9 claws and 11 clips to install the deck trim side panel.

    3. Install the 3 bolts and 2 screws.

    4. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    5. Install the front seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  34. INSTALL OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other outer lap belt anchor cover.


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the outer lap belt anchor cover.

  35. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM POCKET TRAY


    1. Attach the 6 claws and 2 guides to install the quarter trim pocket tray.

  36. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER (w/ Tonneau Cover)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other front deck side trim cover.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front deck side trim cover.

  37. INSTALL NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/o Tonneau Cover)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other tonneau cover holder cap.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the tonneau cover holder cap.

  38. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.


    1. Install the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook so that it is positioned horizontally.

  39. INSTALL REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the rear floor carpet.

  40. INSTALL QUARTER TRIM COVER HOLE LH


    1. Attach the 2 claws and 2 guides to install the quarter trim cover hole.

    1. Attach the 6 claws to install the rear floor mat rear support plate.

    2. Install the 5 screws.

    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the mat set plate cover.
