REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (for 5 Door) INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

    Note

    When installing the retractor, make sure the claws of the vehicle (labeled "a" in the illustration) only contact the installation areas of the retractor.


    1. Align the seat belt positioning holes with the claws and install the retractor of the seat belt with the 2 bolts as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      First install bolt A, and then install bolt B.

      Torque:
      for bolt A
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
      for bolt B
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt shoulder anchor with the nut.

      Torque:
      42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEATBACK LOCK STRIKER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side)

    1. Attach the claw and install the striker with the 2 bolts.

    2. Tighten the bolts in the order indicated in the illustration.

      Torque:
      37 N*m  { 377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL FRONT QUARTER TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Pass the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor through the front quarter trim panel.

    2. Attach the 2 clips and 2 guides to install the front quarter trim panel.

  4. INSTALL DECK TRIM SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY LH


    1. w/o Rear No. 2 Seat:


      1. Pass the rear seatback lock control lever base through the deck trim side panel.

      2. Attach the 5 clips and 8 claws to install the deck trim side panel.

      3. Install the 4 bolts and 2 screws.

      4. Attach the 6 claws and 2 guides to install the rear seatback lock control lever base to the deck trim side panel.

      5. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

        Torque:
        42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

    2. w/ Rear No. 2 Seat:


      1. Attach the 4 clips and 8 claws to install the deck trim side panel.

      2. Install the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

      3. Install the rear No. 2 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

        Torque:
        42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

      4. Install the rear No. 1 seat outer belt floor anchor with the bolt.

        Torque:
        42 N*m  { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other assist grip.


    1. Install the assist grip with the 2 bolts.

  6. INSTALL ASSIST GRIP PLUG (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all assist grip plugs.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the assist grip plug.

  7. INSTALL FRONT DECK SIDE TRIM COVER LH (w/ Tonneau Cover)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other front deck side trim cover.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front deck side trim cover

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 TONNEAU COVER HOLDER CAP (w/o Tonneau Cover)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other No. 1 tonneau cover holder cap.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 tonneau cover holder cap.

  9. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.


    1. Install the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook by turning it clockwise.

  10. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 SEAT OUTER LAP BELT ANCHOR COVER

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other rear No. 1 seat outer lap belt anchor cover.


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the rear No. 1 seat outer lap belt anchor cover.

  11. INSTALL REAR FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear floor carpet.

  12. INSTALL FLOOR SIDE RAIL LH (w/ Deck Rail)


    1. Install the floor side rail with the 3 bolts.

  13. INSTALL FLOOR SIDE RAIL RH (w/ Deck Rail)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. INSTALL REAR FLOOR MAT REAR SUPPORT PLATE (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)


    1. Attach the 5 clips and 4 claws to install the rear floor mat rear support plate.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 DECK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)


    1. Attach the clip to install the No. 1 deck board.

  16. INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER (w/o Rear No. 2 Seat)

    *1 Luggage Hold Belt Striker

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the other front luggage compartment trim cover.


    1. Install the luggage hold belt striker and front luggage compartment trim cover with the bolt.

    2. Attach the 4 claws to install the cap.

  17. INSTALL REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Align the paint mark on the rear door opening trim weatherstrip with the mark position on the vehicle and install the rear door opening trim weatherstrip as shown in the illustration.

  18. INSTALL REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Attach the 3 clips, 6 claws and 2 guides to install the rear door scuff plate.

  19. INSTALL QUARTER SCUFF PLATE LH (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)


    1. Install the quarter scuff plate with the 2 bolts.

  20. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 FLOOR STEP COVER (w/ Rear No. 2 Seat)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all rear No. 1 floor step covers.


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear No. 1 floor step cover.

  21. INSTALL REAR SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH (for 60/40 Split Double-folding Seat Type LH Side)


    1. Install the rear No. 1 seatback assembly LH Click here.

  22. INSTALL REAR NO. 2 SEAT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Manual Seat Type:

      Install the rear No. 2 seat assembly LH Click here.
