FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type) DISASSEMBLY

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP RH

      Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the front seat assembly RH Click here.

    2. Disconnect the occupant detection sensor connector and detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    3. Remove the nut.

      Pass the front seat inner belt assembly RH through the band of the front seat cushion cover as shown in the illustration to remove the front seat inner belt assembly RH.

  3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the reclining adjuster release handle RH.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

      Detach the 2 rubber bands.

    2. A01DO1FE01

      Remove the screw.

    3. Detach the hook and claw.

    4. Detach the clip and guide, and remove the front seat cushion shield RH.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HINGE KNOB


    1. A01DOVQ

      Twist the front seat hinge knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HINGE COVER RH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the 2 hooks and remove the front seat hinge cover RH.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the hook and remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  8. REMOVE INNER SEAT BRACKET ASSEMBLY RH

      Temporarily install the front seat hinge knob.

    2. Operate the front seat hinge knob and fold down the seat armrest assembly RH.

    3. A01DUSV

      Raise the seat armrest assembly RH 3 notches.

    4. Remove the front seat hinge knob.

    5. A01DN5O

      Remove the 4 bolts and inner seat bracket assembly RH.

  9. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01DLWY

      Remove the bolt and seat armrest assembly RH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST HOLE BOARD COVER

      Remove the front seat armrest hole board cover from the seat armrest assembly RH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SIDE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY RH


    1. A01DOHG

      Detach the hook and open the front seatback side cover sub-assembly RH.

    2. Remove the front seatback side cover sub-assembly RH with the front seatback inside pad RH.

    3. Remove the front seatback side cover sub-assembly RH from the front seatback inside pad RH.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Bend out the 2 cushion edge tabs.

      Note

      Be careful not to break the cushion edge tabs.

    2. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    3. Remove the hog ring and detach the hooks.

      Detach the 2 clamps and remove the connector holder.

    5. Remove the front seat cushion cover with pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster RH.

  13. REMOVE CONNECTOR HOLDER


    1. A01DMGK

      Using a precision screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the connector holder.

  14. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      Remove the hog rings.

    2. Detach the hook.

      Cut off the tack pin.

    4. Remove the hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  15. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the hog rings, and then roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

    2. A01DMZ2

      Remove the hog rings, detach the 2 straps of the separate type front seatback cover, and then roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

    3. Detach the fastening tape and hook, and then roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

    4. Remove the hog rings and roll up the separate type front seatback cover.

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports and separate type front seatback cover from the separate type front seatback pad.

  16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

      Remove the separate type front seatback pad from the front seat frame assembly with adjuster RH.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK PROTECTOR

    1. Remove the front seatback protector.

    2. Remove any remaining double-sided tape.

  18. REMOVE CENTER SEAT HINGE COVER

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the center seat hinge cover.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

    1. Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Detach the hook and claw and remove the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

  20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  21. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  22. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER LH

    1. Remove the screw and reclining adjuster outside cover LH.

  23. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER OUTSIDE COVER RH

  24. REMOVE OUTER VERTICAL ADJUSTER BRACKET COVER

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the outer vertical adjuster bracket cover.

  25. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR

      Remove the 2 front seat cushion edge protectors.

  26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

      Remove the front seat cushion edge protector RH.
