FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Walk in Seat Type) DISASSEMBLY

  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the RH side.


  1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE RH

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the handle.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD RH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws and 2 clips.

    3. Detach the cable clamp and remove the cushion shield.

  3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 5 claws and remove the cushion shield.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH


    1. for Manual Seat, Power Seat 4 Way Seat Type:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 3 clamps.

    2. for Power Seat 8 Way Seat Type:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and detach the 6 clamps.

    3. Remove the nut and front seat inner belt assembly RH.

    4. Remove the front seat belt anchor plate.

  5. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

      Remove the rubber band from the seat cushion spring.

    2. A01DOPA

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the wire harness clamp.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

      2. Detach the 4 airbag wire harness clamps.

      3. Detach the fastening tape and open the cover.

      4. Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      Detach the hook.

    5. A01DMB0

      Detach the cable clamp and disconnect the cable from the seatback.

    6. A01DSOU

      Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

  6. REMOVE CAP

    1. Remove the 2 caps.

  7. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. A01DOLQ

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    3. Detach the hooks.

      Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

    5. Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

    1. Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater from the front seat cushion cover.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and 2 guides and remove the protector.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the clip.

    3. Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and guide and remove the protector.

  12. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE RH


    1. Remove the seat wire.

  14. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    1. Detach the guide.

    2. Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

  15. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

      Remove the 3 hog rings.

    2. Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the seatback cover.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

      2. Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

    4. A01DUCD

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

    5. Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

      Tech Tips

      The number of hog rings differs according to seat type.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Heater System)

      Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.

  18. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD


    1. Remove the seatback pad.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER RH

    1. Remove the screw and cover.

  20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

    1. Remove the screw and cushion shield.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    When storing the front seat side airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

      Detach the 2 clamps.

    2. A01DLYX

      Remove the 2 nuts and front seat side airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
