FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seatback Board)

      Detach the 2 hooks and disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the locations shown in the illustration.

    3. A01DUFKE03

      Insert a screwdriver in the clearance between the front seatback board sub-assembly LH and separate type front seatback assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. Place the screwdriver at point (A) shown in the illustration and move the screwdriver in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove the 2 front seatback board clips from the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

      Move the front seatback board sub-assembly LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the 2 guides and remove the front seatback board sub-assembly LH.

  2. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK BOARD CLIP (w/ Seatback Board)

      Remove the 2 front seatback board clips from the separate type front seatback spring assembly.

  3. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  4. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 claws and remove the reclining power seat switch knob.

  5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH


    1. Disconnect the lifter motor connector.

    2. Remove the screw of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH and detach the guide.

    3. Detach the clip of the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH.

    4. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and guide.

    5. Move the front seat cushion shield LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the clip and remove the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH together with the front seat cushion shield LH as a unit.

      Detach the 3 claws and open the wire harness cover.

    7. Detach the 3 wire harness clamps and disconnect the seat wire connector.

  6. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH


    1. Remove the 3 screws.

      w/ Seat Memory System:

      Disconnect the 2 power seat switch connectors and remove the front power seat switch LH.

    3. A01DRC7

      w/o Seat Memory System:

      Disconnect the power seat switch connector and remove the front power seat switch LH.

  7. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side)

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

    2. Disconnect the lumbar switch connector and remove the lumbar switch.

  8. REMOVE FRONT SEAT NO. 1 INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the front seat No. 1 inner cushion shield LH.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the front seat inner cushion shield LH.

  10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

    1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the front seat inner cushion shield RH.

  11. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY


    1. w/o Seatback Board:


      1. A01DTTF

        Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. A01DPYU

      Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 seat wire.

    3. A01DOTJ

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the seat heater wire harness clamp.

      Detach the 2 hooks.

      w/ Front Seat Side Airbag:


      1. Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

      2. Detach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.

      3. Detach the fastening tape and open the cover.

      4. Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

      Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

  13. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

    1. Remove the 2 seat adjuster cover caps.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

    1. Detach the 2 claws.

    2. Move the front seat leg cover LH in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

  15. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD


    1. A01DQZ4

      w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the seat heater connector and detach the 3 seat heater wire harness clamps.

    2. Detach the hooks.

      for Front Passenger Side:

      Detach the claw and disconnect the connector.

    4. Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  16. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

      1. Remove the hog rings and disconnect the straps.

      1. Cut off the tack pins and disconnect the straps.

      Remove the 15 hog rings and separate type front seat cushion cover from the separate type front seat cushion pad.

  17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Cut off the tack pins and remove the front seat cushion heater from the front seat cushion cover.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    1. Detach the claw and guide, and then remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

    2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the front seat lower cushion shield LH.

    1. Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the front seat lower cushion shield RH.

  21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

    2. Move the front seat cushion edge protector LH in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and remove the front seat cushion edge protector LH.

  22. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Detach the 2 clamps and 2 claws, and then remove the seat cushion climate control duct LH.

  24. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Remove the 2 screws and seat cushion climate control bracket.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

      Detach the 2 guides and remove the seat cushion climate control blower assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  25. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat heater control.

  26. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH


    1. Remove the seat wire LH.

  27. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

    1. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.

  28. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH


    1. Detach the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover RH.

  29. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. w/o Seatback Board:

        Remove the 3 hog rings.

      2. Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the seatback cover.

        Remove the 5 hog rings.

      1. Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

      2. Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the separate type front seatback pad.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 front seat headrest supports.

    5. A01DSLE

      Remove the 13 hog rings and separate type front seatback cover.

  30. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Heater System)

    1. Cut off the tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.

  31. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD


    1. Remove the separate type front seatback pad.

  32. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 screws and seatback climate control blower LH.

  33. REMOVE SEATBACK CLIMATE CONTROL DUCT LH (w/ Climate Control Seat System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the seatback climate control duct LH.

  34. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT WIRE


    1. for Driver Side:

      w/o Climate Control Seat System:

        Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the No. 2 seat wire.

    2. for Driver Side:

      w/ Climate Control Seat System:

        Disconnect the 2 connectors.

      2. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the No. 2 seat wire.

    3. for Front Passenger Side:


      1. Disconnect the connector.

      2. Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat wire.

  35. REMOVE FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (w/ Front Seat Side Airbag)

    CAUTION:

    When storing the front seat side airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.


    1. A01DUSO

      Detach the 2 clamps.

    2. A01DLYX

      Remove the 2 nuts and front seat side airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
