Trouble code B1501 is only stored in vehicles equipped with a double tank.

This DTC is stored when the combination meter detects a fuel sender gauge malfunction.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (FUEL SENDER GAUGE)


    1. Operate the intelligent tester according to the display and select the Data List Click here.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the G6 meter connector.

    2. Disconnect the t1 gauge connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      G6-8 (L) - t1-4 (S) Always Below 1 Ω
      G6-23 (FE) - t1-5 (E)
      G6-21 (E2) - Body ground
      G6-8 (L) or t1-4 (S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

  3. INSPECT FUEL TANK VENT TUBE ASSEMBLY
