LIGHTING SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK


  1. INSPECT ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM OPERATION


    • *1: w/ Entry and Start System

    • *2: w/o Entry and Start System

    • *3: w/ Side Step Light

    • *4: w/ Interior Foot Light

    • *5: w/ Door Illumination

    • *6: When the lights are on, if the key leaves all detection areas around the doors, after approximately 3 seconds, the lights fade out.

    Note

    Perform this inspection with the customizable parameters set to the initial settings.

    The illuminated entry system illuminates the lights below.


    • Engine switch illumination*1

    • Ignition switch illumination*2

    • No. 1 room light

    • No. 2 room light

    • Door pocket illumination*5


    1. The operation and conditions of this system are described below.

      Operation Condition
      Lights fade in and illuminate constantly Any door is opened when all the doors are closed.
      Lights illuminate for 15 seconds, and then fade out

      When any of the following conditions is met:


      • The key is brought within any vehicle exterior detection area when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed.*6

      • Any door is unlocked when the ignition switch is off and all the doors are closed and locked.

      • The ignition switch is turned from ACC to off when all doors are closed.

      • All the doors are closed when one or more doors are open and the ignition switch is off.
      Lights fade out immediately

      When either of the following conditions is met:


      • The ignition switch is turned from off to ACC when all the doors are closed.

      • All the doors are locked when the ignition switch is off, all the doors are closed and any door is unlocked.
      Battery saving

      The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is outside the vehicle exterior detection area.*1

      The doors remain in the same condition for 20 minutes and the key is not inserted into the ignition key cylinder.*2

      Operation Condition
      Light fades in

      When either of the following conditions is met, the center console spot light fades in.


      • Ignition switch ACC

      • Ignition switch ON
      Light fades out Ignition switch off
