ELECTRICAL KEY OSCILLATOR (for Outside Luggage Compartment) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE JACK BOX HOLE COVER (for 3 Door)

    *1 Protective Tape

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the jack box hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE BACK DOOR CHECK (for 3 Door)

    Note


    • If the back door check is detached from a ball joint, do not reuse it as the connection with the ball joint will be loose, resulting in the back door check falling off.

    • If the back door check is detached from a ball joint, it becomes non-reusable. Therefore, do not detach the back door check from a ball joint unless replacing it.


    1. A01DRUY

      Remove the 2 bolts.

    2. Using a clip remover, detach the clip and remove the back door check with back door lower damper stay bracket.

    3. A01DPCK

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    4. Remove the 3 bolts and back door check with back door lower damper stay bracket.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER BAR PLATE (for 3 Door)


    1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper bar plate.

    2. Detach the 14 claws and remove the rear bumper bar plate.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 BUMPER PLATE (for 3 Door)


    1. Put protective tape around the No. 1 rear bumper plate.

    2. Detach the 10 claws and 10 guides and remove the No. 1 rear bumper plate.

  5. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH (for 3 Door)

    1. Remove the 2 clips and 5 screws.

    2. Remove the rear quarter panel mudguard.

  6. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH (for 3 Door)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER (for 3 Door)


    1. Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    2. Remove the 2 clips and 7 bolts.

    3. Detach the 10 claws.

    4. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    5. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/o Rear Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    6. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System, w/ Rear Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    7. Remove the rear bumper cover.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER SIDE MOUNTING BRACKET LH (for 3 Door)

    1. w/ Entry and Start System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and rear bumper side moulding bracket.

  9. REMOVE ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA (for 3 Door)


    1. A01DNOZ

      Remove the bolt and antenna.

  10. REMOVE ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA (for 5 Door)


    1. A01DN22

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the bolt and antenna.
