DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when LIN communication between the multiplex network master switch assembly and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:
  • When using the intelligent tester with the ignition switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the intelligent tester to the vehicle and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the intelligent tester and vehicle begins.

  • Inspect the fuses and bulbs for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Tip:

When communication between the multiplex network master switch and main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) stops, DTC B2325 is also stored.

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).


  2. Click here

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      DTC B1206 is not output.

  3. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH)


    1. Remove the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) from the driver side junction block assembly (Click here).

    2. Disconnect the K4*1 or J9*2 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (LIN2) - K4-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-16 (LIN2) or K4-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A-16 (LIN2) - J9-17 (LIN1) Always Below 1 Ω
      A-16 (LIN2) or J9-17 (LIN1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)


    1. A01DMPOE02

      Disconnect the K4*1 or J9*2 multiplex network master switch assembly connector.


      • *1: for LHD

      • *2: for RHD

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K4-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J9-12 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      for LHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K4-11 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      for RHD
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J9-11 (B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V

    REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK MASTER SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the multiplex network master switch assembly with a new or normally functioning one (Click here).


  6. Click here

    CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      DTC B1206 is not output.
