REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM Sound Signal Circuit between Navigation Receiver Assembly and Television Display Assembly

DESCRIPTION

The television display assembly sends the sound signal to the navigation receiver assembly through this circuit.

The sound signal that has been sent is amplified by the stereo component amplifier assembly, and then is sent to the speakers.

If there is an open or short in the circuit, sound cannot be heard from the speakers even if there is no malfunction in the stereo component amplifier assembly, navigation receiver assembly or speakers.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the H57 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the W14 television display assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H57-2 (CDR+) - W14-9 (R1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H57-3 (CDR-) - W14-10 (R1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      H57-4 (CDL+) - W14-7 (L1+) Always Below 1 Ω
      H57-5 (CDL-) - W14-8 (L1-) Always Below 1 Ω
      W14-11(SLD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H57-2 (CDR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H57-3 (CDR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H57-4 (CDL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      H57-5 (CDL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
