REAR SEAT ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

Use these procedures to troubleshoot the rear seat entertainment system.


  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE

    Standard voltage
    11 to 14 V

    Tech Tips

    If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. BASIC INSPECTION


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

    2. Check whether or not the display appears on the television display assembly.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output.


      • w/ Navigation System (for Navigation Receiver Type): Click here

      • w/ Navigation System (for Radio and Display Type): Click here

      • w/o Navigation System: Click here

    2. Clear the DTC.

    3. Recheck for DTCs. Based on the DTC output in the first step, try to force output of the navigation system*1 or audio and visual system*2 DTC by simulating the operation indicated by the DTC.


      • *1: w/ Navigation System (for Navigation Receiver Type) or w/ Navigation System (for Radio and Display Type)

      • *2: w/o Navigation System

      Tech Tips


      • If the system cannot enter the diagnosis mode, inspect each AVC-LAN communication signal and repair or replace problem parts.

      • Even if the malfunction symptom is not confirmed, check for DTCs. This is because the system stores past DTCs.

      • Refer to the detailed description on the diagnostic screen, as necessary.

      • Check and clear past diagnostic trouble codes. Check the diagnostic trouble code and inspect the area the code indicates.
