VANE PUMP (for 1KD-FTV) DISASSEMBLY

SECURE VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

1. 

   Using SST, secure the vane pump assembly in a vise.

REMOVE SUCTION PORT UNION

1. 

   Remove the bolt and suction port union.

2. Remove the O-ring from the suction port union.

REMOVE VANE PUMP REAR HOUSING

1. 

   Remove the 4 bolts and vane pump rear housing.

2. Remove the O-ring from the vane pump rear housing.

REMOVE VANE PUMP ROTOR

1. Remove the 10 vane pump plates.

2. Remove the vane pump rotor.

REMOVE VANE PUMP CAM RING

1. Remove the vane pump cam ring from the vane pump front housing.

REMOVE FRONT VANE PUMP SIDE PLATE

1. Remove the front vane pump side plate from the vane pump front housing.

2. 

   Remove the O-ring from the front vane pump side plate.

3. 

   Remove the O-ring from the vane pump front housing.

REMOVE VANE PUMP GEAR

1. 

   Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring from the vane pump front housing.

2. 

   Wrap the serration of the vane pump shaft with protective tape.

3. Using a press, remove the vane pump shaft from the vane pump front housing.

   Note:

   Do not drop the vane pump shaft.

4. 

   Place the socket wrench (12 mm) on the vane pump shaft.

5. Using SST and a press, remove the vane pump gear from the vane pump shaft.

REMOVE VANE PUMP SHAFT BEARING

1. 

   Using SST and a press, remove the vane pump shaft bearing from the vane pump shaft.

2. 

   Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring from the vane pump shaft.

REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL

1. 

   Using SST, remove the vane pump housing oil seal from the vane pump front housing.
