The skid control ECU is connected to the combination meter via CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note:

  • When replacing the brake actuator assembly, perform calibration (Click here).

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. Click here

    CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Check if CAN communication system DTCs are output (for LHD without Entry and Start System:Click here, for RHD without Entry and Start System:Click here).

  2. Click here

    CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT


    1. Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Check that the ABS warning light comes on.

      OK
      The ABS warning light comes on.

  3. Click here

    READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (ABS WARNING LIGHT)


    1. Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    4. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    5. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.
