REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts and rear engine under cover.
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
Remove the 4 bolts.
Unhook the engine under cover from the vehicle body as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL RH
Remove the 4 clips and fender apron seal.
REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL RH
Remove the 5 clips and fender apron seal.
REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Remove the front bumper cover Click here.
DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
CAUTION:
Do not remove the radiator cap while the engine and radiator are still hot. Pressurized, hot engine coolant and steam may be released and cause serious burns.

Loosen the radiator drain cock plug.
Remove the radiator cap and drain the coolant.
Tech Tips
Collect the coolant in a container and dispose of it according to the regulations in your area.
Loosen the cylinder block drain cock plug and drain the coolant from the engine.
REMOVE NO. 2 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 2 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Disconnect the No. 2 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 2 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube.
Disconnect the 2 hoses from the transmission oil thermostat and remove them.
Note
When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Disconnect the 2 water by-pass hoses from the transmission oil cooler.
Note
Use a container to catch any coolant which flows out of the water by-pass hoses.
Disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 1 oil cooler outlet hose from each oil cooler tube union.
Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler with transmission oil thermostat.
Remove the 2 hoses from the transmission oil thermostat.
Remove the 3 bolts and transmission oil cooler from the transmission oil thermostat.
Remove the 2 O-rings from the grooves of transmission oil cooler.
REMOVE NO. 3 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 3 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE
Detach the claw to open the No. 1 flexible hose clamp.
Disconnect the No. 3 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 3 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 2 oil cooler tube.
Disconnect the 2 hoses from the oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube and remove them.
Note
When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (w/o Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Remove the 2 bolts to open the 2 No. 2 flexible hose clamps and remove 2 oil cooler tubes.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 2 flexible hose clamps.
REMOVE NO. 1 OIL COOLER INLET TUBE AND NO. 1 OIL COOLER OUTLET TUBE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Using a union nut wrench, disconnect the No. 1 oil cooler inlet tube and No. 1 oil cooler outlet tube from each oil cooler tube union.
Remove the 2 bolts to open the 2 No. 2 flexible hose clamps and remove the 2 oil cooler tubes.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 No. 2 flexible hose clamps.
REMOVE NO. 4 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 4 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE

Disconnect the No. 4 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 4 oil cooler outlet hose from the radiator.
Disconnect the 2 hoses from the No. 2 oil cooler tube and remove them.
Note
When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
REMOVE NO. 5 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 5 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Disconnect the No. 5 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 5 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 2 oil cooler tube.
Disconnect the 2 hoses from the No. 3 oil cooler tube and remove them.
Note
When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
REMOVE NO. 2 OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

Remove the 2 bolts and No. 2 oil cooler tube.
REMOVE NO. 6 OIL COOLER INLET HOSE AND NO. 6 OIL COOLER OUTLET HOSE (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Disconnect the No. 6 oil cooler inlet hose and No. 6 oil cooler outlet hose from the No. 3 oil cooler tube.
Note
When disconnecting the hoses from the tube, support the tube by hand and be careful to prevent the tube from being deformed.
Disconnect the 2 hoses from the oil cooler and remove them.
REMOVE NO. 3 OIL COOLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Remove the bolt and No. 3 oil cooler tube.
REMOVE OIL COOLER ASSEMBLY (w/ Air Cooled Transmission Oil Cooler)
Remove the 3 bolts and oil cooler.
Remove the 2 bolts and oil cooler brackets.
