INTAKE MANIFOLD REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.

    • When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL LH

    1. Remove the 5 clips and front fender apron seal.

  3. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 FENDER APRON TO FRAME SEAL LH

    1. Remove the 5 clips and front fender apron to frame seal.

  4. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL FILLER TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the transmission oil dipstick.

    2. Remove the 2 bolts and oil filler tube.

    3. Remove the O-ring from the oil filler tube.

  5. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY


    1. for 1.4 kW Type:

      Remove the starter Click here.

    2. for 2.0 kW Type:

      Remove the starter Click here.

  6. REMOVE THROTTLE WITH MOTOR BODY ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the throttle with motor body Click here.

  7. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE WITH FUEL INJECTOR


    1. Remove the fuel delivery pipe with fuel injector Click here.

  8. REMOVE PURGE VSV

      Disconnect the purge VSV connector.

    2. Disconnect the 2 purge line hoses from the purge VSV.

    3. Remove the bolt and purge VSV.

  9. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD

    1. for Engine Front Side:

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps from the 2 wire harness clamp brackets.

    2. A01DS8G

      for Engine Rear Side:

      Detach the No. 2 water by-pass hose and disconnect the No. 3 ventilation hose from the intake manifold.

    3. A01DN67

      Remove the 5 bolts, 2 nuts and intake manifold.

    4. Remove the gasket from the intake manifold.

    5. A01DQUE

      Remove the 2 bolts, 2 wire harness clamp brackets and No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose from the intake manifold.
