EGR COOLER (w/ DPF) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT NO. 2 EGR VALVE ASSEMBLY

    Note

    Do not adjust the adjusting screw.


    1. Connect the 2 vacuum pumps as shown in the illustration.

      1. Apply vacuum to the inner diaphragm and check that the valve on the cooler side opens slightly as shown in the illustration. While maintaining the vacuum applied to the inner diaphragm, apply vacuum to the outer diaphragm. Check that the valve on the cooler side is fully open as shown in the illustration, and that the pressure when vacuum is applied is 84 kPa (630 mmHg, 25 in.Hg).

      2. Maintain the pressure in the previous step for one minute and check that the valve does not move.
