FUEL PUMP (for Double Tank Type) DISASSEMBLY

Note

Do not disconnect the hoses indicated in the illustration.

  1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01DNF7

      Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

    2. A01DOCKE01

      Press down on the fuel sender gauge claw labeled A. Then slide the fuel sender gauge assembly upward to remove it.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUB-TANK

      Disconnect the fuel pump connector.

      *1 Jet Pump A
      *2 Jet Pump B

      Disconnect the jet pump labeled A from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

    3. Disconnect the jet pump labeled B from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.


      1. Using a small screwdriver, detach the claw from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

        Note

        Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws from the claw holes.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

    5. A01DT34

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws from the claw holes.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

  3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

      *1 Fuel Filter Case

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws from the claw holes and disconnect the fuel pump from the fuel filter case.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pump wire harness connector from the fuel pump to remove it.

      *2 Fuel Pump Spacer

      Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.

  4. REMOVE FUEL MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY

      *2 O-Ring

      Remove the fuel main valve from the fuel filter case.

    2. Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve.
