ACCELERATOR PEDAL ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester main switch on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List / Accelerator Pos No. 1, Accelerator Pos No. 2.

    5. When depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal, check that the values of Accelerator Pos No. 1 and Accelerator Pos No. 2 are within the specification.

      Standard Voltage

      Accel Sensor Out No. 1 Released 0.4 to 1.4 V
      Depressed 3.0 to 4.6 V
      Accel Sensor Out No. 2 Released 0.9 to 2.3 V
      Depressed 3.4 to 5.5 V

      If the result is not as specified, check the accelerator pedal, wire harness and ECM.
