GENERAL
This system has a rear television camera assembly mounted on the back door to display an image of the area behind the vehicle on the display. The display panel also shows a composite view consisting of the area behind the vehicle and parking guide lines to assist the driver in parking the vehicle by monitoring the area behind the vehicle.
This system consists of the following components:
Rear television camera assembly
Navigation receiver assembly
Spiral cable sub-assembly
Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)
Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)
Back door courtesy light switch assembly
ECM
This system is equipped with a self-diagnosis system, which is operated from a designated window that appears on the display panel, just as in the navigation system.
FUNCTION OF COMPONENTS
The navigation receiver assembly receives the reverse signal via a CAN communication line when the engine switch is on (IG) and the shift lever is moved to R. After receiving the reverse signal, the navigation receiver assembly switches to the parking assist monitor system.

OPERATION EXPLANATION
The navigation receiver assembly receives the reverse signal via a CAN communication line when the engine switch is on (IG) and the shift lever is moved to R. After receiving the reverse signal, the navigation receiver assembly switches to the parking assist monitor system.

DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION OUTLINE
