DESCRIPTION

The clearance warning buzzer sounds to alert the driver. The sounding pattern changes according to the distance to the obstacle.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 CLEARANCE WARNING BUZZER - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU)


    1. Disconnect the I1 clearance warning ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the G161 No. 1 clearance warning buzzer connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I1-14 (BBZ) - G161-1 (Z+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I1-12 (EF) - G161-2 (Z-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I1-14 (BBZ) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I1-12 (EF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
