NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for Built-in Memory) Reverse Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly receives a reverse signal from the park/neutral position switch assembly.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. A01DTU7

      Enter the "Vehicle Signal Check Mode" screen. [Refer to check Vehicle Signal in Operation Check Click here.]

    2. Check that the display changes between ON and OFF according to the shift lever position.

      R ON
      Except R OFF

      Tech Tips

      This display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual shift lever position.

      Disconnect the navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H61-2 (REV) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG), shift lever in R 7.5 to 14 V
      H61-2 (REV) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG), shift lever not in R Below 1 V

    1. Disconnect the H61 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the C40 park/neutral position switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H61-2 (REV) - C40-1 (RL) Always Below 1 Ω
      H61-2 (REV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
