DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly and television display assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line.

When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the navigation receiver assembly and television display assembly, these DTCs will be stored.

When either condition below is met:


  • The television display assembly is/was not connected while the engine switch is on (IG or ACC).

  • Communication between master unit and the television display assembly is not possible when the engine is started.


  • AVC-LAN communication line

  • Television display assembly

  • Navigation receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

Tip:
  • Even if no fault is present, this DTC may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

  • The navigation receiver assembly is the master unit.

Note:

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

Tip:

When replacing the navigation receiver assembly, it is necessary to perform the vehicle contract setting for Connected Services (w/ Connected Services Function).

    CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs (Click here).

    2. Check for DTCs (Click here).

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

  2. Click here

    CHECK CONNECTOR CONNECTION CONDITION


    1. Check that the television display assembly and navigation receiver assembly connectors are connected properly.

      OK
      The connectors are connected properly.

  3. Click here

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the television display assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W14-17 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      W14-1 (+B) - W14-17 (GND) Always 11 to 14 V
      W14-2 (ACC) - W14-17 (GND) Engine switch off Below 1 V

    1. Disconnect the W14 television display assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the H57 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      W14-3 (TX1+) - H57-9 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      W14-4 (TX1-) -H57-10 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      W14-3 (TX1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. Click here

    CHECK TELEVISION DISPLAY ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the television display assembly with a known good one (Click here).

    2. Clear the DTCs (Click here).
