Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR LH, BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R42-5 (BLB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      R42-5 (BLB) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
      R43-5 (BRB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      R43-5 (BRB) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R42-10 (BLGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      R43-10 (BRGD) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
