INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 5 guides and temporarily install the instrument panel safety pad assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note


      • Do not damage the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

      • Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.

    2. Install the 2 clips.

    3. Install the 3 bolts <B> and nut <F> or <G>.

    4. Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts <A>.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

    5. Engage each clamp.

    6. Connect each connector.

  2. CONNECT NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      Connect the connector.

      Note

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

  3. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HQMQ

      Engage the 10 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. A01HNSW

      Engage the clip and 3 guides.

    2. Install the console box insert with the 2 screws <C> or <D>.

  5. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 CONSOLE BOX INSERT


    1. A01HMZL

      Engage the clip and 3 guides.

    2. Install the front No. 2 console box insert with the 2 screws <C> or <D>.

    3. Engage the 2 claws to connect the room temperature sensor.

  6. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Smart Key System:


      1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 4 clips to install the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.

  7. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for LH Side)


    1. Connect the connector.

      Install the front No. 2 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.

      Note

      Do not touch the speaker cone.

      Tech Tips

      Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HPHP

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 3 claws and 2 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  9. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH


    1. Remove the protective cover.

    2. Make sure that the front pillar garnish clip is not damaged.

      Note

      If there is any damage, replace the garnish clip with a new one.

      Install the front pillar garnish clip to front pillar garnish LH.

      Tech Tips

      Install the front pillar garnish clip so that it faces as shown in the illustration.

    4. Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.

      Engage the 2 clips to install the front pillar garnish LH.

  10. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for RH Side)

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 2 guides.

    2. Engage the 3 claws and 2 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.

  13. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HPSB

      Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 3 instrument panel register assembly.

  14. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH


    1. A01HPB0

      Engage the 5 clips to install the No. 2 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  15. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. A01HMZY

      Engage the glove compartment light as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01HO5E

      Engage the guide and 2 clips.

    4. Install the lower instrument panel sub-assembly with the 5 screws <C> or <D>.

  16. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

    2. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

      CAUTION:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

      *2 Airbag Connector Lock

      Connect the airbag connector to the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly.

      Note

      When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    4. Push in the lock to install the airbag connector.

    5. Temporarily install the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly with the 3 claws.

    6. Install the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

      Note

      Confirm that the lower No. 2 instrument panel airbag assembly is installed securely without any excessive gaps and is not protruding outward.

  17. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 2 guides and 4 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  18. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH


    1. Engage the 3 guides.

      Engage the 4 claws to install the instrument side panel RH as shown in the illustration.

  19. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

      *1 Alignment Mark (White)

      Align the alignment mark (White) on the weatherstrip with the protruding portion on the body indicated by the arrow in the illustration, and install the front door opening trim weatherstrip RH.

      Note

      After installation, check that the corners fit correctly.

  22. INSTALL FRONT NO. 3 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY (for 10 Speakers)


    1. Connect the connector.

      Install the front No. 3 speaker assembly with the 2 screws.

      Note

      Do not touch the speaker cone.

      Tech Tips

      Install the screws in the order shown in the illustration.

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 SPEAKER OPENING COVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. A01HNOW

      Engage the 8 clips to install the No. 1 speaker opening cover assembly.

  24. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Radio Receiver Type)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 8 clips to the vehicle body to temporarily install the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly.

    3. Install the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly with the 4 bolts.

  25. INSTALL RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Radio and Display Type)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 8 clips to the vehicle body to temporarily install the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly.

    3. Install the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly with the 4 bolts.

  26. INSTALL NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Navigation Receiver Type)


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 8 clips to the vehicle body to temporarily install the navigation receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly.

    3. Install the navigation receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly with the 4 bolts.

  27. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect each connector.

    2. Engage the 4 clips and guide.

    3. Install the upper console panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws <C> or <D>.

  28. INSTALL BOX BOTTOM MAT


    1. Install the box bottom mat.

  29. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 6 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

      Note

      When installing the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly, check that the wire harness is not caught between the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly and duct.

  30. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the clamp.

      Engage the 6 clips and 7 claws to install the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  31. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HPL3

      Engage the 4 guides as shown in the illustration.

    2. Install the rear console box assembly with the 2 bolts and 2 screws.

  32. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CARPET


    1. Install the console box carpet.

  33. INSTALL NO. 4 CONSOLE BOX DUCT (w/ Rear Register Duct)


    1. Engage the claw to install the No. 4 console box duct.

  34. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE BOX SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Power Outlet Socket:


      1. Connect the connector.

      2. Engage the clamp.

      Engage the 4 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the upper console box sub-assembly with the 2 screws.

  35. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER


    1. Install the console box cup holder to the instrument panel cup holder tray.

  36. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER TRAY


    1. Install the front console upper panel garnish.

    2. Install the instrument panel cup holder tray and front console upper panel garnish with the 6 screws <C> or <D>.

  37. INSTALL REAR CONSOLE UPPER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    3. Engage the 4 clips and install the rear console upper panel sub-assembly.

    4. Move the shift lever to P.

  38. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HOMU

      Turn the shift lever knob sub-assembly clockwise to install the shift lever knob sub-assembly.

  39. INSTALL FRONT PANEL GARNISH RH


    1. Engage the 3 claws, 2 clips and 8 guides to install the front panel garnish RH.

  40. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the 4 claws, 9 clips and 3 guides.

    2. Install the lower No. 1 instrument panel finish panel assembly with the bolt <B> and screw <C> or <D>.

  41. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  42. INSTALL FRONT PANEL GARNISH LH


    1. Engage the 3 claws, 2 clips and 8 guides to install the front panel garnish LH.

  43. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the 2 connectors.

    2. Engage the wire harness clamp.

    3. Install the combination meter assembly with the 4 screws.

  44. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY


    1. A01HMZC

      Temporarily install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect each connector.

    3. Engage the 5 claws, 5 clips and 2 guides, and install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

    4. A01HQ0M

      Engage the 2 claws, 4 clips and 2 guides.

  45. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

      Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.

  46. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL GARNISH

      Engage the 3 clips to install the No. 1 instrument cluster finish panel garnish.

  47. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH


    1. Engage the 3 guides.

      Engage the 4 claws to install the instrument side panel LH as shown in the illustration.

  48. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

    1. Engage the 2 clips.

    2. Install the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH with the clip.

  50. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH


    1. Engage the 10 claws to install the front door scuff plate LH.

  51. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
