LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the rear door courtesy light switch using this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM


    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the Techstream on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the Techstream.

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH OR RH)


    1. Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

      OK
      Rear door courtesy light switch assembly is normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY LH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the I13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the N15 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N15-1 - I13-1 (LCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      N15-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY RH - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the I13 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the O16 rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O16-1 - I13-6 (RCTY) Always Below 1 Ω
      O16-1 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
