    2. Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tech Tips

Measure the values on the wire harness side with the connector disconnected.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
I141-1 (RSIG) - Body ground Y - Body ground IG power supply Engine switch off Below 1 V
I141-1 (RSIG) - Body ground Y - Body ground IG power supply Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
I141-5 (RSLP) - Body ground P - Body ground Remote engine starter ECU input signal Remote engine starter function operating Below 1.5 V
      I141-10 (R+B) - Body ground W - Body ground +B power supply Always 11 to 14 V
      I141-19 (RGN1) - Body ground W-B - Body ground Ground Always Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, there may be a malfunction in the wire harness.

    3. Reconnect the I141 remote engine starter ECU connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Tester Connection Wiring Color Terminal Description Condition Specified Condition
I141-3 (BRX) - Body ground R - Body ground Accessory BERKES SRX signal Remote engine starter or remote engine stop functions operating Pulse generation
I141-4 (BTX) - Body ground G - Body ground Accessory BERKES STX signal Remote engine starter or remote engine stop functions operating Pulse generation
I141-16 (RESD) - Body ground B - Body ground Remote engine starter diagnosis input signal Diagnostic mode entered Below 1 V

If the result is not as specified, the remote engine starter may have a malfunction.
