HARD DISK DRIVE REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note


    • After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

    • for Navigation Receiver Type:


      • A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is built into the navigation receiver assembly to store map and other data, and is used for the navigation system. Therefore, care must be taken for the following points when handling the navigation receiver assembly.

    • for Radio and Display Type with Intuitive Parking Assist System:


      • A Hard Disk Drive (HDD) is built into the radio and display receiver assembly to store multi-media data, and is used for the audio and visual system. Therefore, care must be taken for the following points when handling the radio and display receiver assembly.

    • When removing the hard disc drive, eliminate static electricity by touching the vehicle body to prevent components from being damaged.

  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE BOX BOTTOM MAT

      Remove the box bottom mat.

  5. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 screws <C> or <D>.

    2. A01HNXD

      Disengage the 4 clips and guide as shown in the illustration.

    3. Disconnect each connector to remove the upper console panel sub-assembly.

  6. REMOVE CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01HQ31

      Using a moulding remover, disengage the 2 claws and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    3. A01HPK9

      Disengage the 3 claws and 2 clips as shown in the illustration.

    4. A01HQ1I

      Disengage the clamp.

    5. Disconnect the connector to remove the center instrument cluster finish panel assembly.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

      Pull the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow to disengage the 6 clips to remove the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly.

  8. REMOVE NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Navigation Receiver Type)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. A01HP3J

      Pull the navigation receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly toward the rear of the vehicle and disengage the 8 clips.

    4. Disconnect each connector and remove the navigation receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly.

  9. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH AIR CONDITIONING CONTROL ASSEMBLY (for Radio and Display Type with Intuitive Parking Assist System)

      Apply protective tape to the area shown in the illustration.

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. A01HORE

      Pull the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly toward the rear of the vehicle and disengage the 8 clips.

    4. Disconnect each connector and remove the radio receiver assembly with air conditioning control assembly.

      Tech Tips

      w/ Navigation System:

      Do not disconnect the extension module connector.

  10. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO RECEIVER BRACKET (for Navigation Receiver Type)

      Remove the 5 screws and No. 2 radio receiver bracket.

  11. REMOVE NO. 2 RADIO RECEIVER BRACKET (for Radio and Display Type with Intuitive Parking Assist System)

      Remove the 5 screws and No. 2 radio receiver bracket.

  12. REMOVE HARD DISK DRIVE


    1. A01HMMG

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the cover.

    3. A01HQJ7

      Pull out the hard disk drive from the navigation receiver assembly or radio and display receiver assembly in the direction shown by the arrow in the illustration to remove it.
