DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the skid control ECU receives a +B line open signal from the steering angle sensor.

C1432 With the +BS terminal voltage 9.6 to 16.5 V, the steering angle sensor power supply circuit malfunction signal is received from the steering angle sensor.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE TERMINAL)

      (to Steering Angle Sensor)

      Remove the steering wheel and the column cover.

    2. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.

    3. Disconnect the steering angle sensor connector.

    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I29-5 (BAT) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      I29-4 (IG) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GROUND TERMINAL)

      Turn the ignition switch off.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I29-1 (ESS) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
