REAR BUMPER REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH

      Install the upper rear bumper retainer LH with the 2 screws.

  2. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Install the No. 2 rear bumper side support LH with the 2 screws.

  4. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  5. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT LH

      Install the No. 1 rear bumper side support LH with the 2 screws and clip.

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 REAR BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  7. INSTALL REAR BUMPER REINFORCEMENT SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A0160IQ

      Install the rear bumper reinforcement sub-assembly with the 8 bolts.

      Torque:
      20 N*m  { 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

  8. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT LH


    1. A015ZZ1E01

      Engage the 3 guides and 4 ribs and 6 claws, and install the rear bumper arm reinforcement LH.

  9. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ARM REINFORCEMENT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER ENERGY ABSORBER

      Install the rear bumper energy absorber.

  11. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PAD LH

      Install a new rear bumper pad LH.

      Tech Tips

      Stick the new rear bumper pad LH on the line marked on the rear bumper assembly.

  13. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER LH

      Install the rear bumper lower retainer LH with the screw.

  14. INSTALL REAR BUMPER LOWER RETAINER RH

  15. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH


    1. Install the rear bumper protector LH.

  16. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR RH


    1. Install the rear bumper protector RH.

  17. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH

      Install the rear bumper extension LH with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  18. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  19. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH

      Install the No. 2 rear bumper side retainer LH with the bolt and screw.

      Torque:
      Bolt
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  20. INSTALL NO. 2 REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  21. INSTALL REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH

      Engage the claw and install the reflex reflector assembly LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  23. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE LH

      Engage the 2 claws and install the rear bumper piece LH.

  24. INSTALL REAR BUMPER PIECE RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  25. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor to the rear bumper.

    2. A015Z0L

      Install the sensor retainer as shown in the illustration.

    3. Connect the sensor connector.

  26. INSTALL NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Install the No. 2 ultrasonic sensor to the rear bumper.

      Install the sensor retainer as shown in the illustration.

    3. Connect the sensor connector.

  27. INSTALL NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A0163F1

      Engage the 4 clamps and install the No. 3 luggage room wire.

    2. Engage the 4 connectors.
